Various Social Media Graphics

I often find myself sharing suggestions with others on how they might improve their social media posts. Below are some examples of my peers’ posts where I’ve offered input. I believe well-designed graphics have the potential to make significant difference; while polished visuals signal professionalism, poorly presented posts risk giving the impression of a lower-quality service or product.

University Basketball Game Day Post

This post was presented to me while I was president of the university basketball club. While it was a good start there were some obvious design flaws. For instance, the information was not laid out in a way that prioritised certain information and the mix of font sizes and margins made the post difficult to read. Once that had been sorted, I added a gradient to the background image to showcase more of the photo.

Speaker Event Post

The Vision Summit 2026 is a guest speaker event featuring the CEO & Co-Founder of Two Chicks, the Head of Cities at Uber, and the Founder of Supercycle. I remade their original social media post, keeping the copy and overall style similar but placing more emphasis on the appeal of the location. I didn’t spend long on this one, and in hindsight, it would have benefited from a line or two making it clearer that it’s a speaker event.

Society Committee Announcement Post

As co-president of the University of York's PPE society (The Club of PEP), I was sent a draft of the first slide to a social media post announcing the new committee. Once again this was a good start but did not prioritise information well. I made some suggests to scale the text and edited the colours to create visual hierarchy. I also evened the borders giving the overall post a more professional look.
